Young people can often have the grave misconception that they are invincible. Especially when another friend is involved, adolescents can get themselves into a lot of trouble due to the incorrect mindset that they are untouchable. However, when charged with a crime, adolescents quickly realize just how serious the consequences for their actions can be. Two Colorado young men have recently been arrested in relation to burglary charges.

Allegedly, the police suspect that the two young men burglarized over 20 local businesses since September. The two young men were supposedly able to force entry into the businesses. Purportedly, various items were taken from these businesses, but the estimated value of the stolen property was not reported.

One man, 23-years-old, has been arrested for multiple counts of second-degree burglary along with one count of second-degree burglary specifically related to theft of prescription drugs. The other man, 22-years-old, was arrested on two counts of giving false information to a pawnbroker. The 23-year-old is being held on a $10,000 bond while the 22-year-old was able to post his $1,000 bond.

The report does not specify exactly how many counts of second-degree burglary charges the 23-year-old faces. However, it is possible that due to the ages of the men and due to the amount of charges they face, a plea deal may be offered, although it is not guaranteed. By the same token, there is no guarantee that a conviction will be achieved, and the burden of proof remains with Colorado prosecutors throughout the criminal proceedings to prove the accusations beyond a reasonable doubt by competent and relevant evidence.
